    Sarah Dickson is a first-year PhD student in the Department ofEpidemiology, Biostatistics and Occupational Health. She obtained her Mastersof Science in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and TropicalMedicine. She is pleased to be under the supervision of Professors MathieuMaheu-Giroux and Caroline Wagner, which will employ infectious diseasetransmission modelling to examine the feasibility of control mechanisms todetect zoonotic leaps of H5N1 into high-risk agricultural populations and haltonwards transmission. Throughout her research, she will employ a One Healthresearch approach, which regards human, animal and ecological health asinterdependent.
