Cette rencontre Zoonoses, AMR et Bioinformatique (ZAMBI) réunit des chercheur·e·s et stagiaires interdisciplinaires œuvrant à l’intersection de la résistance aux antimicrobiens, des maladies zoonotiques émergentes et de la biologie computationnelle, afin de partager leurs travaux et de développer de nouvelles compétences transversales en santé « Une seule santé ». Cette rencontre est le fruit d’un effort conjoint de trois plateformes de formation en recherche en santé financées par les IRSC : CAN-AMR-NET, Canopy et le Canadian Bioinformatics Hub – Atlantic Node. Les stagiaires Canopy des deuxième et troisième cohortes sont attendus à cet atelier, avec un soutien pour le déplacement fourni par Canopy.

On February 24th and March 10th the AMMI (https://ammi.ca/en/) One Health Working Group will host CEZD members Dr Christa Arsenault, Dr Egan Brockoff and Dr Gigi Lin - to present "Understanding Swine and Poultry Production Systems in Canada: A One Health Perspective on Infectious Diseases". This two-part webinar series will explore swine and poultry production systems in Canada through a One Health lens. The webinars are intended for Infectious Disease physicians, Medical Microbiologists, Veterinarians, Public Health experts and others with an interest in One Health. All are welcome. The Ecological Forecasting Initiative (EFI) is an international grassroots consortium aimed at building and supporting an interdisciplinary community of practice around near-term (daily to decadal) ecological forecasts. Hosted by the Canadian Chapter of EFI, the EFI2026 Conference will assemble local, regional, national, and global leaders from the mathematical sciences, environmental sciences, epidemiology, data sciences, One Health, and related disciplines to advance the state of ecological forecasting.

This workshop will equip participants with a high level understanding of infrastructure design and operational approaches utilized in Canadian biosafety containment level 3 (CL3) facilities. The sessions will include an overview of the Canadian regulatory structure for work with emerging pathogens, case studies of program redesign, interactive risk assessment activities and a walk-through tour of the University of Toronto's CL3 facility. Trainees at EPIC partnered institutions or trainee members of Canopy are eligible to register for the workshop. Spaces are limited and will be assigned based on first responses.
